Private Catholic schools closed till Monday

All Private Catholic schools in the country will be temporarily closed until Monday (29), according to the General Manager of Catholic Private Schools Rev. Fr. Ivan Perera.

He stated that the decision has been taken as a precaution due to the prevailing security situation int he country.

He stated that therefore all private Catholic schools in the country, which are currently closed for the term holidays, will reopen for the second term on April 29.

Meanwhile the government had decided to close all government schools in the country today and tomorrow (23) in the wake of the multiple explosions that rocked the country on Sunday.

In addition to this all state universities have also been closed temporarily.

The government examinations scheduled on these days have also been postponed indefinitely.
