Russian arrested for flying drone in Galle

A Russian national was arrested today (09) for filming several locations in Sri Lanka using a drone, says the Galle Fort Police.
The 31-year-old was taken into custody while filming the Dewata Beach in Galle.
He had arrived in Sri Lanka on 28th of April and was slated to leave the island on May 11th, according to the OIC of Galle Fort Police.
It was reported that the suspect is employed at a telecommunication firm in Russia.
