Military alone didn’t curb terrorism; international support helped too - Mangala

The Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mangala Samaraweera claims that some are attempting to create political issues within the country based on extremist terrorism.

At a function held in Matara, the minister said that the extremist terrorism has now been brought under control.

According to Samaraweera, the reason behind controlling terrorism this quickly is not just the Sri Lankan tri-forces and the police, but also the support of the international community.

Some politicians ate milkrice on the day of the Easter attacks and are trying to win elections over the dead bodies of people, said the Minister.
