Another coronavirus case confirmed in Sri Lanka

Another Sri Lankan, who had returned from Italy, has been tested positive for the COVID-19, the Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe has confirmed. 

 

Accordingly, the total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka now stands at eight (8), the Department of Government said issuing a communiqué.

 

This patient, aged 42 years, was identified at the quarantine centre in Kandakadu and is currently receiving treatment at Polonnaruwa Hospital.

 


A short while ago, during a special media briefing, Dr. Jasinghe revealed that two more coronavirus patients were identified. One is a 44-year-old from the quarantine facility at Kandakadu and he is currently receiving treatment at the District General Hospital in Polonnaruwa. The other patient, aged 43, is from Nattandiya and he was not identified at a quarantine facility. He is reportedly receiving treatment at the Provincial General Hospital in Kurunegala.
