Sri Lanka confirms first COVID-19 death

First COVID-19 death in Sri Lanka has been reported from the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) earlier this evening (28).

Reportedly, the deceased 60-year-old male is a resident of the Marawila area.

The patient had suffered from diabetes and high blood pressure, according to Director-General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe.

Further, he had undergone a kidney transplant several years ago.
