Coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka rise to 148

Two new COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed raising the total number of cases reported from the country to 148, Ministry of Health said.

Currently, 124 coronavirus patients are under medical care, according to the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry.

Meanwhile, 21 cases of COVID-19 infections have completely recovered and discharged from hospitals.

However, another death from the coronavirus was reported yesterday (01), marking the third COVID-19 death in the country. The deceased was a 72-year-old male from Maradana who had suffered from diabetes, high blood pressure and chronic kidney disease.
