Group of foreigners who are not in self-isolation found from Nilaveli

Another group of 288 individuals who successfully completed the 14-day quarantine process have left for homes today (03).

Army Chief Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva mentioned that a total of 2,598 have left quarantine centres so far.

It is also 500 from Negombo, Maradana and Beruwala areas have also been directed to quarantine process.

In the meantime, Uppuveli Police in Trincomalee has found 8 foreigners who were not in self-isolation.

The police have put these tourists under self-isolation at the tourist lodges in Nilaveli where they were staying in.

Legal action has been sought against the lodges that have failed to direct the relevant foreigners to self-isolation.
