152 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Sri Lanka, 24 recovered

One more Coronavirus positive patient has been identified today (03), bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 152.

The Ministry of Health states that 125 patients are currently under medical care and that 24 patients have been discharged after recovering so far. 

There have been 04 deaths in Sri Lanka due to COVID-19.

Over 250 suspected patients are currently under observations at selected hospitals in the country. 

Meanwhile the Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe says that samples from around 225 persons were tested for the virus yesterday (02).

He added that presently in addition to the samples from patient, the samples from those who have closely associated with patients and have not shown symptoms as of yet are also being tested for COVID-19.
