Two villages in Beruwala have been identified as high-risk areas for COVID-19, says the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.

Accordingly, the villages of Pannila and Cheena Koratuwa in Beruwala have been sealed off and placed under isolation.

No one will be allowed to enter or leave from these areas until further notice.

Seven new coronavirus patients had been identified yesterday (13) from the Punani quarantine center while it had been revealed that they had been sent to quarantine from the Beruwala area.

Therefore due to the risk of the virus spreading, the villages of Pannila and Cheena Kotuwa have been isolated by security forces.
