Total jumps to 795 with 21 new coronavirus cases

Twenty-one more individuals have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the Ministry of Health confirmed a short while ago.

The new cases jump the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 795.

The Ministry added that a total of 215 coronavirus patients have recovered from the disease and were discharged from hospitals.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 571 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.

Sri Lanka confirmed the 9th death due to the novel coronavirus on Tuesday (05).
