24 coronavirus cases confirmed from Navy yesterday – Dr. Jasinghe

Twenty-four from Sri Lanka Navy have tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday (06), says the Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe.

A total of 29 positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Sri Lanka on Wednesday.

Dr. Jasinghe further stated that 5 of these positive cases are associates of naval personnel.

The tally of coronavirus cases detected in Sri Lanka now stands at 797 and 215 of these patients have recovered from the disease.

The country has confirmed 9 deaths due to COVID-19 so far.

Accordingly, 573 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.
