COVID-19 cases reported in Sri Lanka climbs to 863

Seven new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed increasing the total number of cases reported in Sri Lanka to 863, the Ministry of Health said.

All seven new cases are reportedly navy personnel attached to the Welisara camp.

As of 11.55 p.m. last night (10), a total of 321 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovery while 533 active cases are currently under medical care. 

There have been nine COVID-19 related deaths in the country.
