Total moves to 538 with 18 new coronavirus recoveries

Eighteen coronavirus patients have been discharged from the hospitals upon recovery, as of 10 am this morning (17).

The patients had been receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Angoda, Mulleriyawa Hospital, Homagama Hospital, and Welisara Navy Hospital, stated the Ministry of Health.

Accordingly, the number of recoveries reported in the country has hiked to 538 cases.

As per the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry, 960 cases of coronavirus infections have been reported from Sri Lanka.

Currently, 413 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.

The country’s death toll from COVID-19 stands at 09.
