Twenty one recoveries move count to 559

Twenty one more patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus, confirmed the Ministry of Health.

The recovered patients have been discharged from their respective hospitals after their PCR tests were confirmed negative.

Fifteen among the recovered persons are Sri Lanka Navy personnel, stated Sri Lanka Navy.

Accordingly, the number of coronavirus recoveries recorded in the country has hiked to 559 cases.

Further, 204 infected Navy personnel in total have recovered from the virus.

Meanwhile, the count of COVID-19 cases reported on Sri Lanka so far stands at 981 patients.

As per the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 413 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the island.

Sri Lanka has recorded nine fatalities from the virus.
