Two more Covid-19 cases take tally to 1,059

Two more confirmed cases of Coronavirus have been identified increasing the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the country to 1,059.

The Government Information Department reported that both new cases are navy personnel from the Mullaitivu quarantine center.

Accordingly a total of 430 patients infected with Covid-19 are currently being treated at hospitals while 620 have been cured and discharged from hospitals. 

It said that 1,603 PCR tests were carried out yesterday and that 27 new cases were identified yesterday (22).
