A group of Chinese nationals from London, United Kingdom have landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport today (29) on transit to their home country.

A SriLankan Airlines flight (UL 504) has arrived at the airport with 221 Chinese nationals aboard.

Meanwhile, earlier this morning, 13 Sri Lankan migrant workers in Narita, Japan were brought back to the island, while 27 Sri Lankans in Belarus were repatriated last night (28).

The returnees were subjected to the disinfection procedure. The health authorities at the airport subsequently measured their body temperatures and checked for any symptoms for Covid-19 before transporting them to quarantine centres.
