Thirty more Covid-19 cases reported as total hits 1,683

Thirty more confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been reported increasing the total number of cases in the country to 1,683.

Accordingly a total of 40 new cases were reported on Tuesday (02). Of them 32 are returnees from abroad, 07 are navy personnel and the other is a close associate of a navy sailor.

As of 11.50 p.m. yesterday (02), approximately 849 patients are under medical care for COVID-19 while the number of recoveries stands at 823.

Eleven deaths have been reported due to the virus in Sri Lanka.
