Over 5,200 still under quarantine at tri-forces-operated facilities

Sri Lanka Army says 5,240 more persons are still under quarantine at 45 facilities operated by the Tri-forces.

However, a total of 11,709 persons have completed the quarantine process as of this morning (05), the Army Spokesperson Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe stated.

All these individuals have been directed to PCR tests before they were discharged from the quarantine centres.

In the meantime, Sri Lanka Navy said another 25 persons have left the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base on Thursday (04) and Friday (05).

These persons were sent off in compliance with the healthcare guidelines of the government and they have been handed over certificates to mark the successful completion of the quarantine process, the Navy said further.

As of now, 249 persons have left the Boossa Naval quarantine centre after successful completion of their quarantine process and 84 more Sri Lankans continue to be under quarantine at this centre.
