223 Sri Lankans in Philippines return to the island

A group of Sri Lankans in the Philippines have been brought back to the country yesterday (11).

A SriLankan Airlines flight returned to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with 223 Sri Lankans aboard at around 10.30 pm last night.

They were directed to PCR testing upon arrival and moved to several hotels located near the airport until the test results are received.

Meanwhile, two Sri Lankan sailors in Narita, Japan are scheduled to return to the island today (12), Ada Derana reporter said.
