Two more Navymen test positive for COVID-19; total at 1,889

Two more individuals are confirmed to have contracted the novel coronavirus, stated the Ministry of Health.

Reportedly, the two new patients are Sri Lanka Navy personnel.

With the 02 new cases, a total of 05 COVID-19 positive have been reported in the country today (14). Previously, 03 more Navy personnel were identified to have contracted the virus.

Thereby, the total count of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 1,889.

With 35 patients being discharged upon recovery today, the number of recoveries in Sri Lanka now stands at 1,287.

The Epidemiology Unit’s tally reads that 591 active cases are currently under medical care.

Sri Lanka has confirmed 11 deaths due to the COVID-19.
