Leader of Samagi Jana Balawegaya Sajith Premadasa says that a government under him will give an allowance of Rs 20,000 to every family following the victory at the election.

Addressing a public meeting held in Gampaha, he said that the relevant allowance will be provided until the fallen economy is rebuilt.

Stating that he was able to hold 154 public meetings during the last presidential election, Premadasa said that he will hold 1000 meetings for the upcoming general election.

The former Opposition Leader added that he challenges his rival contestants to hold a ‘competition of meetings’ with him.

Further speaking, Premadasa said that, once he wins the election, he will establish a new government and take over the responsibility of the public.

He will also take over the responsibility of ‘Sirikotha’, the United National Party headquarters, as well.
