Three including underworld figure ‘Akku’ arrested

Three suspects including a close associate imprisoned underworld leader Indunil Kumara alias ‘Indra’ have been arrested by officers of the Police Special Task Force (STF) organized crime prevention unit at Embulgama, in Hanwella.
The STF said that the arrested suspects include underworld figure Thanippuli Arachchige Dasun Buddhika Jayathilaka alias ‘Akku’ and two others.
Officers also took into custody a fake pistol, three swords, a dagger and 325 grams of Kerala cannabis found in the possession of the suspects.
The arrested suspects have been handed over to Hanwella Police Station for onward action.
