Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 recoveries reach 1,639

Twenty more patients, who had tested positive for the COVID-19, recovered from the disease today (27), says the Ministry of Health.

The latest recoveries were reported from the Infectious Disease Hospital (01), Welikanda Base Hospital (04), Iranawila Hospital (06), Kattankudy Base Hospital (05), Hambantota District General Hospital (01), Theldeniya Base Hospital (02), Panagoda Army Hospital (01), the situation report issued by the Epidemiology Unit read.

This brings Sri Lanka’s recoveries count to 1,639.

The total number of COVID-19 cases identified in the country hit 2,014 on Friday (26) with 04 new infections among arrivals from Pakistan.

The Epidemiology Unit says 364 patients infected with COVID-19 are currently under medical care at 11 hospitals across the country.

Meanwhile, 11 coronavirus-positive patients have succumbed to the disease in Sri Lanka.
