Five arrivals from Oman add to coronavirus case tally

Five more individuals have tested positive for the coronavirus infection hiking the total number of cases reported from Sri Lanka, as per the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry.

The latest cases have detected among recent arrivals from Oman, confirmed the Ministry.

Thereby, a total of 2,047 coronavirus-positive cases have been reported in the country.

Currently, 325 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the island.

With 33 more patients regaining their health and being discharged from their respective hospitals today (30), the tally of recoveries in the country has reached 1,711.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths from the virus thus far.
