Deputy GM of Condominium Management Authority caught accepting bribe

A Deputy General Manager of the Condominium Management Authority (CMA) has been arrested on bribery charges. 

The official was arrested by Bribery Commission officers while accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000 inside his office.

Deputy General Manager (Regulatory) of the Condominium Management Authority had reportedly sought the bribe from an individual who had requested for condominium certificate. 

The individual had subsequently filed a complaint with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The Deputy General Manager was then arrested while soliciting the bribe of Rs. 25,000.

He is to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
