Pharmacies, other essential outlets in curfew areas open tomorrow

Supermarkets, pharmacies and other outlets selling essential items located in the curfew-imposed areas will remain open tomorrow (16), the Commander of the Army announced.

Accordingly, these establishments will be kept open from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm for the general public to make necessary purchases, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said further.

Quarantine curfew is currently in effect in 19 police areas in Gampaha district including Minuwangoda, Divulapitiya, Ja-Ela, Kandana, Katunayake and Seeduwa until further notice following the re-emergence of novel coronavirus positive cases.
