Rs 400 mn allocated to distribute Rs 5,000 allowance in curfew areas

The government has decided to grant an allowance of Rs 5,000 each to all those who have lost their sources of income due to the curfew imposed in the Gampaha District.

Minister Prasanna Ranatunga stated that a sum of Rs 400 million has been allocated for this program.

Reportedly, the distribution of the allowance is set to commence from Tuesday (October 20).
