Kalutara Prison jailor arrested with heroin

A second-tier jailor from the Kalutara Prison has been arrested over the possession of narcotic drugs, stated Ada Derana reporter.
Reportedly, the arrest has been made at the Senakudiirippuwa area in Puttalam.
A total of 40 grams and 870 mg of heroin has been found in the possession of the arrested prison official.
The arrest has been made by the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) officials in Puttalam, based on a tip-off received yesterday (18).
The arrested jailor is a 32-year-old male whose wife is reported to be a top official in Sri Lanka Police.
The arrestee is set to be produced before court.
