Four officers of fire brigade contract coronavirus

Four officers attached to the Main Fire Station (Headquarters) of the Fire Services Department have been identified to have contracted COVID-19.

Reportedly, they are residents of Kadawatha, Piliyandala, Walallawita, and Minuwangoda areas.

Meanwhile, a doctor at the obstetrics and gynecology unit of the Trincomalee General Hospital is also confirmed to be a COVID-19 patient.

The Director of the hospital Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne stated that three other doctors who worked with the relevant doctor have been directed to self-quarantine.

In addition, a barber located in Kahathuduwa has also tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Kahathuduwa Medical Officer of Health Dr. Dhanuka Padmaraj said that nearly 120 contacts of him have been subjected to the quarantine process.
