18 MPs appointed to Committee on Public Finance

New members have been appointed to the Committee on Public Finance to serve the 1st session of the 9th Parliament.

Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane announced the names of the 18 members during the parliamentary session which was convened for just three hours earlier today (03).

Accordingly, Ministers Dr Bandula Gunawardana, Dr Nalaka Godahewa, Keheliya Rambukwella, Susil Premajayantha, D.V. Chanaka, Vidura Wickramanayaka, Dr Sarath Weerasekera and MPs Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Vijitha Herath, Dilan Perera, Harsha de Silva, M.A. Sumanthiran, Chaminda Wijesiri, Hesha Withanage, Isuru Dodangoda, Anupa Pasqual, Sahan Pradeep Withana, Prof. Ranjith Bandara have been appointed to the Committee on Public Finance.

The proposal made by its members to appoint the Chairperson of the Committee at the committee meeting itself was passed in Parliament.
