COVID-19 recoveries tally go up by 765 in highest daily record

Seven hundred and sixty five more individuals infected with COVID-19 have made complete recoveries today (05), says the Ministry of Health.

 

According to health sectors, this is the highest number of patients discharged from hospitals in a single day.

 

As per the situation report issued by the Epidemiology Unit, patients from the following hospitals have been discharged in this manner:

Colombo East Base Hospital – 14
Hambantota District General Hosptial - 20
Kamburugamuwa Hospital – 33
Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital – 38
Katthankudy Hospital – 19
Theldeniya Base Hospital - 07
Homagama Base Hospital – 12 
Laggala Pallegama District Hospital – 10
Lunawa District Hospital – 01
Divulapitiya District Hospital – 47
Kosgama District Hospital – 18
Muruthankerny District Hospital – 11
Pimbura District Hospital – 01
Karadiyanaru District Hospital – 40
Radawana District Hospital – 36
Ichchilamapattu Hospital -18
Padiyatalawa District Hospital- 50
Gallela Treatment Center – 149
Punani Treatment Center – 01
Embilipitiya Treatment Center – 104

COVID-19 recuperations confirmed in Sri Lanka thereby reached 6,623.

 

According to statistics, the tally of positive cases reported from Sri Lanka now sits at 12,187.

 

The Epidemiology Unit says 5,540 active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals.

 

Sri Lanka also witnessed 24 deaths from the virus so far.
