The results of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination of 2020 have been released online, the Department of Examinations said in a media statement published today (15).

The results can be accessed via the official website of the Examinations Department: https://www.doenets.lk/examresults

The exam was held on the 11th of October amidst the new wave of Covid-19 pandemic sweeping across the country. The Ministry of Education had made necessary arrangements to conduct the examination under the health and safety protocols.

In addition, special examination centres were set up in Gampaha district where the quarantine curfew was in place at the time.

According to reports, 326,264 candidates out of 331,741 applicants had sat for the exam this year.

The Examinations Department said 20,000 students, including 250 with special needs, will be eligible for scholarships this year.

The statement noted that students will not be ranked island-wise or district-wise.

All principals have been provided with a username and password to access and download the lists of results of their respective school. The Examinations Department said the lists of results will be directed to them via post before long.

Details about submitting applications for re-scrutiny of exam results will be announced in due course, the statement mentioned further.
