Isolation on several areas in Colombo, Gampaha lifted tomorrow

Isolation of several areas in Colombo and Gampaha District will be lifted from tomorrow (23), stated Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.

The decision will be in effect from 5.00 am tomorrow morning.

The Borella, Wellampitiya, Colombo Fort, and Slave Island police areas in the Colombo District will be reopened in this manner.

However, the Wekanda Grama Niladari Division in the Slave Island Police Area and Wanathamulla Grama Niladari Division in the Borella Police Area will continue to remain in isolation.

Isolation orders on 13 more police areas in the Colombo District will in effect until further notice.

In addition, the isolation on Ja-Ela and Kadawatha police areas in Gampaha District will also be lifted tomorrow.

Five more police areas in Gampaha District will continue to remain isolated until further notice.

The following areas will remain under isolation until further notice:

Colombo District: Mattakkuliya, Modara, Grandpass, Bloemendhal, Kotahena, Fort Shore, Adirippu Street, Dam Street, Pettah, Keselwatta, Maligawatta, Dematagoda, and Maradana police areas

Gampaha District: Negombo, Wattala, Peliyagoda, Ragama, and Kelaniya police areas

Kalutara District: Bogahawatta, Bamunumulla Muslim Area, Hirimanthudawa, Korawala, Atalugama West, and Bamunumulla, Galahamandiya Grama Niladari Divisions
