Three more deaths bring COVID-19 death toll to 90

Sri Lanka has reported three more COVID-19 related deaths bringing the total death toll in the country to 90, the Director-General of Government Information confirmed.

 

Two women and a man have succumbed to the virus in this manner.

 

One female, aged 86 years, has passed away on November 22 while receiving treatment for COVID-19 infection at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Angoda. She had been a resident of the Heiyanthuduwa area. The cause of death is determined as a severe infection caused by COVID-19.

 

A 60-year-old male from Mattakkuliya had passed away from blood poisoning caused by COVID-19. He had been transferred to the Homagama base Hospital from the Colombo National Hospital after being diagnosed as a COVID-19 patient. He had passed away today (23) while being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Homagama Hospital.

 

Another female, aged 60, a resident of Colombo 14, had been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital over a heart attack. However, he had died of COVID-19 and a heart attack, today.
