The All Ceylon Inter-Provincial School Children Transport Services Association has decided to withdraw from operations.

Chairman of the Association Ruwan Prasad said the decision will be in effect from tomorrow (November 26).

“Even today we operated several vehicles. However, we have no way of operating tomorrow. So we are withdrawing from the operation.”

He says that the solution lies in assuaging the fears of parents and children.

“We request the President and the Minister of Education to intervene and take steps to allay the fears of parents and children. Because our sources of income will improve only if the school system exists.”
