AG meets MEPA officials to finalize claim on MT New Diamond oil spill

The Attorney General has met with the officials of the Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA) today (November 25).

This was to finalize the Marine Pollution Claim regarding the oil spill caused by the fire in the crude oil tanker MT New Diamond, Coordinating Officer of the Attorney General, State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said.

Along with MEPA officials, a panel of experts joined in the discussion, she added.
