Kollupitiya Crimes OIC dies from sudden illness

The Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Crimes Division at the Kollupitiya Police Station has passed away from a sudden illness at the Galle Face Green.

Reportedly, he had collapsed while exercising at the Galle Face Green this morning (26).

The deceased officer is a 42-year-old resident of the Maussagolla area in Passara.

His body is currently kept at the mortuary of the Colombo National Hospital.

The postmortem is due to be carried out later today.
