More doses of COVID-19 to arrive tonight under COVAX

Another batch of Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine is due to arrive on the island tonight (March 06), State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana stated.

The batch arrives under the COVAX facilities of the World Health Organization (WHO) as assistance to Sri Lanka’s immunization program against the COVID-19 virus.

Accordingly, 264,000 doses of the vaccine will be delivered to Sri Lanka on a charter flight tonight.
