Colombo-Kandy road temporarily closed at Pahala Kadugannawa

November 27, 2021   10:43 pm

The Colombo-Kandy main road will be temporarily closed for traffic at Pahala Kadugannawa area, the Road Development Authority (RDA) announced.

Accordingly, the road will remain closed from midnight today (Nov. 27) until 6.00 a.m. tomorrow (Nov. 28).

The decision has been taken due to the torrential rains that prevailed in the area.

Earlier this month, vehicular movement on this stretch of road was temporarily halted due to the risks of possible earth slips. Later, one lane of the Pahala Kadugannawa road section was reopened for traffic from Nov. 17.
