CPC denies Dayasiri’s claims on misappropriations in fuel imports

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) today categorically denied the allegations levelled by MP Dayasiri Jayasekara with regard to the misappropriations in fuel importing.

In a press release, the CPC, dismissing the parliamentarian’s statements as “baseless” and “an incitement of hatred”, noted it intends to seek legal action against him.

The state-owned corporation stressed that the government-approve procurement process and due tender procedure were following when importing fuel to Sri Lanka.

It also said the quality of the products were ensured in the importing process and the lowest bid procurement was followed in the procurement process.
