New chairman appointed to Central Environmental Authority

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed Mr. Supun S. Pathirage as the new Chairman and member of the Central Environmental Authority (CEA), the President’s Media Division said.
Mr. Pathirage previously served as the Environment Officer of Colombo Dockyard. He takes over from former CEA chairman Mr. Siripala Amarasinghe.
