Earth slip disrupts train operations on Upcountry Line

Train operations on the Upcountry Line have been disrupted after a mound of earth collapsed on to the railway tracks last evening (Dec.08).

The Railway Department said the earth slip occurred between Hali-Ela and Uduwara railway stations.

Owing to the trains plying from Badulla to Colombo are experiencing delays.

Railway workers are engaged in efforts to clear the tracks to restore disrupted operations along the Upcountry Line, the department mentioned further.
