Woman riding motorcycle dies after handbag gets stuck on lorry

A woman who was traveling on a motorcycle has been killed in an accident that occurred after her handbag was caught on the body of a lorry passing by.

The accident has taken place in the Wathupitiwala area of Nittambuwa last morning (19).

Police said that the woman had fallen down from the motorcycle when her handbag got stuck in the body of the lorry and was killed after being run over by the same vehicle.

The deceased woman has been identified to be aged 54.

The driver of the lorry has been arrested in connection with the accident.
