Four including two naval officers arrested with drugs remanded

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court ordered 04 including two Lieutenant Commanders of Sri Lanka Navy who were arrested along with a stock of drugs to be remanded in custody until May 09.

The relevant suspects were detained and interrogated after being arrested by the Mulleriyawa Police and were produced before Colombo Additional Magistrate Tharanga Mahawatte today (26).

The police, presenting facts before the court, requested that the suspects be remanded as further investigations are underway in relation to this incident.

The suspects had been arrested while in the possession of 434 grams of ‘Ice’ (crystal methamphetamine).
