Senior President’s Counsel Gamini Marapana passes away

Prominent lawyer and Senior President’s Counsel Gamini Marapana has passed away at the age of 82.
Gamini Marapana is the brother of Tilak Marapana PC, who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the ‘Good Governance’ or ‘Yahapalana’ Government.
Gamini Marapana, who appeared in several high-profile and highly publicized court cases in Sri Lanka, had also briefly served as the Chairman of Colombo Port City Economic Commission.
Family sources said the final rites of the distinguished attorney will be notified later.
