22-year-old busted with more than 1kg of heroin

A suspect, who was in possession of 1kg 15g of heroin, has been taken into custody in Badowita area in Mount Lavinia police division.
The arrest was made at around 11.10 pm last night (12) by the officers of Police Special Task Force, who acted on a tip-off received by them.
The 22-year-old suspect was subsequently handed over to Mount Lavinia police station.
It is revealed that he is a resident of Badowita area in Mount Lavinia.
The arrested youth will be produced before Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court today (13).
