Telecom, mobile & TV operators instructed to continue services to customers

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has instructed all telecom, mobile and direct to home/ cable TV operators to continue services for postpaid customers providing an extended grace period for payment dues which may arise.
These instructions were given under directives of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as connectivity imperative for information dissemination in the fight against Covid-19 at this juncture, the Department of Government Information stated.
Accordingly, the telecom, mobile and direct to home/ cable TV operators have also been instructed to provide emergency credit facilities for prepaid customers.
