Maheepala Herath sworn in as North Central Province Governor

Maheepala Herath has been sworn in as the Governor of the North Central Province before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

He was sworn in before the President at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, a short while ago.

Herath had previously served as the Chief Minister of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council.

He will take over from Professor Tissa Vitharana, who was appointed as as Governor for North Central Province in December last year.
