Isipathana defeats Trinity to clinch President’s Trophy Knock-Out Tournament

Isipathana College Colombo defeated Trinity College Kandy 12-09 to win the 2025 President’s Trophy Inter-Schools Knock-Out Rugby Tournament at the Royal Complex in Colombo this evening.

Isipathana took the pulsating final to the wire and scored a try in the injury time to secure their 15th President’s Trophy.

Trinity who were leading 09-07 heading into the final minutes defended their hearts out but the ‘Greens’ finished the game in style much to the jubilation of the Isipathana supporters.

Isipathana had a slender 07-06 lead at lemons.
