The Sri Lanka National Football team secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brunei in a FIFA International Friendly played in Bangkok, Thailand.

In the first half of the match, neither team was able to score a goal.

The winning goal for Sri Lanka was scored by Leon Perera in the 57th minute of the match.

Sri Lanka is currently ranked 200th in the international football rankings.

The Brunei team is 15 places ahead of Sri Lanka, currently holding the 185th position in FIFA rankings.

The last time the Sri Lankan team defeated Brunei was in 2009, where they secured a comfortable 5-1 victory.
